Technology

At the London Hair Clinic our straight forward approach to NSHR technology is simply to provide the best hair replacement systems that the industry offers. NSHR technology is fast evolving and at the LHC our commitment to research and development ensures our position as industry leaders. In fact, our ongoing success in NSHR is achieved through an unrivalled high level of attention to detail.

LHC has access to all the most innovative and technologically advanced (2006) hair replacement systems available. This includes all the latest polyurethane (liquid skin), lace (Swiss and French) and mesh (super fine monofilament) systems supported by the most revolutionary human and synthetic hair fibre options available.

Transparent polyurethane membranes or liquid skin, at 1/4mm, provides a fully natural appearance, providing visibility of the patients underlying scalp skin. Swiss or french lace will often form the front hair line in the most sophisticated hair replacement systems softening the front hair line and giving the appearance of hair growing from the skin when brushed away from the temples and forehead.

There is no substitute for virgin human hair and at the LHC we use only the finest cuticle human hair.
Surrounding the hair shaft cortex, the outer layers of tiles, the cuticle, provides the hair with its healthy, shining appearance. Industry standard hair is cuticle stripped in an acid bath to simplify the manufacturing process, to the detriment of the finished hair replacement system.

An exact hair ethnicity match is imperative since hair characteristics and textures differ across ethnicity. Site specific densities are considered, matching the hairs per sq cm with the patients existing hair volume.
Human hair can be exposed to heat, all styling procedures and accept all normal hair products.
At the London Hair Clinic we've extensively researched hair products so that we can advise our clients accordingly. Our experience and knowledge is used to advise clients on product usage and common issues such as dryness, colour fade and recolours. At the LHC our colour technician will take care of any colouring issues.

Our reputation as a leader in hair replacement technology is supported by our willingness to discuss more technical issues such as underknotting, single and double knotting, injected hair and bleached knots amongst other numerous specifications.
